I got Warhammer Battle March recently and I am enjoying, just wanted to know if any else has played it what they thought of it. I havent seen many Warhammer Fantasy games so is there any more I haven't found any.

You know Warhammer is getting to real when you being using 40K swears, for example "fug" and "Emperors Hairy Arse!" When writing this the word arse was not recognized, well done. |

There's a couple of older ones on the PC and PS1 (PC is recommended for ease of control).
There's Shadow Of The Horned Rat, which I haven't played.
Then there's the sequel, Dark Omen. You control a mercenary band in the empire and get various units to choose from along the way. Undead - back when they were one army - are the main bad guys, but Orks and Goblins make an appearance too. It's good fun - there's some hammy voice-overs between missions, though you have to take care of your units as they are expensive to replenish as well as upgrade, and once they're eliminated they're gone for good. Overall I'd award it 8/10 and still very playable today.

I had a look at Dark Omen and it was very expensive and on some old operating system.

SofHR and Dark Omen were both fantastic games and I played the gak out of both of them to the cost of the degree corse I was sitting at the time.
Battle March was good inspite of me playing it of Xbox which had an iffy pointer/select interface IMO. At least it didn't have the hero button jamming like to old games.
I should load that up and finish it.

I loved Dark Omen. The copy of SofHR that I bought back in the day didn't work, so never tried it out. Never tried Battle March.
I wish Fantasy was a genre that they'd explore more in video games. The potential for some great RTS in there.

I've finished the Empire campaign but my Xbox broke so no Chaos or Orcs for me.

I picked a used copy up for the 360 last friday. I played a few missions of it. As the price led me to expect, it's not an amazing game. I'd feel much more comfortable playing it on a PC. I'm enjoying it though.
I'm not to pleased with how characters handle. My fire mage keeps dying, and I can't seem to access my captains special abilities. Maybe it's something I'm missing, but it could just be poor aspects of the game as well.
All in all, it was worth the $6 I spent on it.

Maybe because you are on a consol because on the PC ive never had an issue. The Fire Mage is fething awsome in that game after only a handful of lvls.

I've had to res mine twice, and he's still just lvl 1. Everytime I bring him he just runs straight at the nearest enemy and gets cut down. It's real annoying.
I hate RTS's on consoles.

Lol ya thats weird. Ive done Halo Wars on consoles and thats it. Anything else just seems like asking for trouble. (Oh and RA3... and ya that was asking for trouble, PC would have been WAY easier)

Did you do the tutorial/practice missions? Him running at enemies can be turned off. Using abilities is also easy, it's holding LT and pressing a,b,x,y, if I remember correctly.

Dark Omen is one of my all time favourite PS1 games. Battlemarch by comparison was meh!
