Does anybody have any tips for making 40k nurgle zombies? I'm pretty bad at greenstuff and sculpting, and I want to make a horde ~200+. I was thinking about taking some of the undead from fantasy and somehow turning them into guardsmen, but I'm not sure how to do this. Are there any tutorials/videos out there? Or does anybody have any useful advice?

Buy some cheap IG or any 28mm men and stick these heads on them?

If you're not against playing models that are not from GW, go buy some Mantic Games kits.

Yeah, I can't say enough good things about the mantic zombie kits. The 'zombie marines' are perfect for zombie guardsmen... you can mix in some normal zombies as well. And if you want even more variety, wargames factory has good zombie kits as well, very civilian looking.

The mantic zombie marines mentioned above definitely. For painting, look into some transparent paints such as Freak Flex or Tamiya (which I use), so you can better represent yellowey greeney goopey ickiness. I also use Vallejo heavy gel to add some bulk sometimes and yet still remain semi transparent.

Older zombies will have less fluid ickiness and more boney/dried blood purple/grey flesh instead, so decide which you want. Or do some of both or a mixture I guess ; )

For an enormous, 200+ zombie horde, I'd also advise looking into ways to quickly and efficiently paint them, such as using a spraypaint that's a suitable moldy-fleshy color, picking out details, and then dipping.

Games Workshop and Mantic both have fantasy zombies. Wargames factory has more modern zombies, both male and female, and they're really cheap. The above-linked Mantic sci-fi zombies pack is also good value for the money. Armypainter makes spraypaint and washes than can help out. I'd also advise keeping the basing simple, either a bit of sand and flock or make a mold of some cobblestones or whatnot and just stamp your own with greenstuff.

I used warhammer fantasy zombies with a few IG helmets and flak armor torsos mixed in.

When I last did zombies (back in the EoT campagin) I used imperial guard boxes (the days when you used to get 20 guys) and a load of fantasy zombie boxes. Could make 40 zombies from 1 IG box and 1 Zombie box.
