A friend of mine was getting out the hobby and left me his models to sell. I got rid of what I could and had a ton left over (on sprues or put together but easilly stripped). I figured instead os selling the rest, I would hold onto some for a modeling project since my Khador is on hold for a little while.

Question is how to make an effective list with what I have. So far, I think I settled on:

Chaos Lord (murder sword, plasma pistol, sigil, gift of mutation, MoN)

3x Plague Marines (7, 2 plasma, combi-plas, gift of mutation, MB, Icon)

Havocs (7, 2 AC, 2 HB, MoN)

Havocs (7, 4 AC, MoN)

Raptors (6, 2 LC, 2 Melta, Icon, MoN, MB, VotLW)

This brings me around to 1400, though not efficient, I'm sure. The idea is I would sit havocs back to cover objective holding PM. The Raptors would run around and pop vehicles as best as they can. Lord would hold back and melee up a threat to the PM.

So I'm looking to expand this, not spending a ton of money on making it fun to play. I think on the list are:
Heldrake (baleflamer)
Bikes (maybe 1 will be sorcerer on bike)
Cultists (big mob or two)
Typhus (braaaaaiiiins)
ADL
possible rhinos for PM, depending on if I can get them cheap.

Anything tactically bad with these decisions. I think it looks good, but haven't played alot in 5th, let alone 6th. Feedback? I know right now there isn't a lot of anti-armor, help with this given the bits/models I have?

Well, the list is a good start. The PM should be mounted in a Rhino. A lumbering Lord is not really what you want. Replace him by Typhus or take a fast Lord on bike leading a Biker squad, say 6 Bikers w/ MoN, 2x melta. A Helldrake is almost mandatory, since with the bale flamer he can take out Devs or Havocs in the enemy back field.

I fudged through the bits and whatnot and have the parts for a Rhino. I figure the raptors I was going to convert could be:

6 Chosen
5 Melta, 1 TLC, MoN, VotLW, GoM, Icon, Melta Bombs
Rhino

If I really wanted the points sink, could I also buy them PW's?

All melta? Melta and Flamers? Plasma instead?
