i cant decide which carapace i like better between the lines of the dots... so i have decided to ask the infinite wisdom of the internet to help me.
in other words which one to you think is better

I like the lines a lot more. It gives the illusion of texture or even opalescence on the chitinous plates.

The feathered lines look better than the dots imo.

It's got to be the lines. Looks much more like the plates are ridged and spiny.

On your examples, the lines look far better.

the feathered carapace (the left one) all the way... just gives it a more natural grown look (kind of like the lines on nails and hooves
