I'm just getting started with Malifaux. Working up Pandora's crew from the box set. Reading through the book I'm concerned about what will happen if I run into Perdita, she seems to be made especially to defeat Pandora.
Does anyone have any advice on how to handle that situation? Do I need to bring in crew from outside the box set? Any other tips? Thanks.

I play perditta and go against pandora often enough. If you are not using the doppelgänger, you need to. You will almost always win initiative. I usually stay away and shoot the woes that help power her up. You need to get close with pandora to start messing with the ortegas. I just go forward the first turn then stat to move back. Shooting all the time.

Doppelganger is my next mini to get, definitely.
Also, does Pandora's The Box Opens override Perdita's Immune to Influence?

Yes it does, but remember that Pandora's biggest defense is her Expose Fears... Perdita ignores this via the See the Unseen ability.
So like Pandora's The Box Opens would remove Perdita's Immune to Influence, so Self-Loathing and Pacity/Incite would work against her, but if say Candy tried to do that, then she could lose the duel, and ignore the result of the duel.
