Personally i love the flyers but because the wraiths cost so much and you want them the D-lord has more of an advantage.
But you might take out wraiths get more d-scythes and then the first list.

Take more D scythe and less annihilation barge, take at least 2 they are just so good at tank hunting.
Other than that wraith, Dlord ad night scythe are the best units in the codec also the lord or barge and royal court is close to top

How is list 2 illegal? The second HQ slot is optional and not part of the compulsory section of the FoC.

I would go with list 1
You'll have plenty of AA with your night scythes, who will be dropping off your important anti-armor haywire squads

He's arguably our best HQ choice, and a beast in most challenges with 2+ armor and a warscythe at least. The STR 7 certainly helps, he ignores armor saves as well. Also boosts the killing power of wraiths
