I've gone 5-0 with this list against some pretty varied enemies and am working on expanding it to 2000. My aversion to having unpainted miniatures on the table is making it go a little slow.

Overlord-Warscythe, Mindshackle Scarabs, Sempiternal Weave, Resurrection Orb-160
10 Immortals-Tesla Carbines-170
5 Immortals-Gauss Blaster-85
12 Warriors-156
12 Warriors-156
7 Scarab Swarms-105
Doomsday Ark-175
Annihilation Barge-90
Annihilation Barge-90

Some notes:
1) The gauss Immortals have underpreformed and will probably be replaced.
2) The Doomsday Ark is doing much better than I thought it would, but will probably get swapped out for some night scythes.
3) I'd really appreciate suggestions on Crypteks since I just started in on some Pariahs that I was planning to sub in.

I prefer Tesla Carbines on my Immortals. Odds are you are either going to have a statistical roll or proc teslas and ignore statistics all together. Tesla weapons and overwatch are worth remembering with all the flurries of wounds that suddenly pop out of thin air.

Guass Blasters are at their strongest at rapid fire range and are at their best when they are disembarked from a night scythe and pew pew units down with their volume of fire.

For your 2000 point list, I would suggest getting a few more warriors, night scythes, and wraiths.

Wraiths are highly mobile, deal out loads of damage, and are good at soaking damage. From the games I have used wraiths they perform very well. A Destroyer Lord just adds to the mix and makes the unit stronger and more durable. Preferred Enemy (Everything!) is pretty good with the wraith company.

Most crypteks that people use are used in some form of combination. Deathmarks+Harbinger of Despair+ Night Scythe or Necron Warriors+Harbinger of the Storm+Night Scythe. A popular HQ and cryptek combo is using Imotekh and a Harbinger of Eternity to make the game night fighting for consecutive turns.

Feel free to ask for more advice.

I am certainly afraid of Wraiths and Warriors en-masse.

Should never have sold that DG army.
