I've been brainstorming on how to build an orks list, and I was recently given a few ideas. This is a rough draft of a foot list @ 1500.

Big Mek, kff (in back of center boyz squad to confer kff to all 3)

2 x 10 lootas (behind adl, go to ground for 2+ cover in exchange for losing 1 bs)

10 grots, runtherd (man gun)

3x30 boyz, 3 big shootas

3xdakkajet, supashoota, ace

My single concern is av14, but I would hope for side shots or assaulting rear. As for landraiders, I have no answer, hoping to deal with the remainder of the army while I ignore them.

Well I think the list looks pretty well-rounded. As far as anti-av14 goes, thats kinda always been a problem for the orks, deffrollas are probably the only serious way of dealing with them besides PK's. You may have success running a SAG mek or warphead against them, but other than that there isnt much. The only thing I can say you'll need is nobz for the boyz with BP and PK's if you can find the points, but other than that the list looks pretty solid. Best of luck!

Dang lots of boyz and i thought my 44 looked like a lot on the table. I say the list looks fun. And yes orks do not have a lot of options when it comes to av14. And yes for morale and leadership and also to make ur units stronger get a Nob in each boys group with a PK/BP. Best of luck.

Try taking kans or dreads. That will help with your anti AV14 problems.

Oh yes, definitely. Without the nobz, your boyz would crumble really easily. try giving him a shoota too.

Nobs with PK aren't so automatic anymore. With challenges running rampant, you find that sometimes your nob with a PK is just a wasted 40 points where you could have had 6 more boys instead with 4 points of play!

The bosspole is still an important tool, even if there is no PK
