just want to make sure i am doing this right...
At 2k you have access to a second FOC table to effectively double up your slots. Do you have to then take a second HQ shoice for this or can i just use another 3 Heavy Support slots?
I am taking part in a small l40k mini league with a few friends (just amongst ourselves). The rules state you write a 2.5k list and that is all you are allowed to use for the league. In smaller games you can only subtract units and models from theat main list - no swapping options either.
Since 2k unlocks the second FOC table i have 4 heavy Support units in my 2.5k list. Is this legal?

You have two FOC; each FOC has a minimum COMPULSORY requirement. So you have 2 compulsory requirements
2 x HQ, 4 x Troop minimum for the two FOC

Thanks.

The use of the second FOC is optional.

well yeah, but if i want to use my land Raider for my Berzerkers i need to use it as HS, and without using the second FOC that would give me 4 HS choices, which woudl be illegal.

You can also get a second allied detachment as well.

Let me get this straight. If you take a 2nd FoC, you must have a 2nd HQ?

Yes. All of the mandatory requirements of the first FOC are still there for the second FOC. They don't disappear just because its a second FOC.

Yes. You see that second FOC is an exact copy of the first, with all the restrictions and allowances of the first.
