A hard choice yes but I'd go with the first one as your opponent will have a hard time dealing with all that AV 14. Just play test and see how it goes. : -)

I'm inclined to agree zee ork.

I like the DCAs and Librarian and the AV14 is pretty useful.

List 1 for sure. It has AV 14 spam, 2 of the best flyers around, and versatility for where to place your crazy CC units.

Alright, list 1 is looking strong. I've played it a few times and had quite a bit of success with it.

Something that was mentioned was tossing in a Banisher with the DCA units for Daemons...what do you all think?

With the resurgence of Daemons as a player on the main stage, bumping GK out of top tier imo and taking top spots with IG and Necrons, I would say that a banisher is more than warranted.

If you encounter alot of daemons then your banishers will be great they just work so good at getting past those pesky invulnerable saves that daemons bring.
Also list 1 is very strong although playing with that terminator death star will be fun, but if you are playing to win then list 1 all the way.

Banisher is a tough call as his area of effect is only 6" from himself.

List 2 is a variation of the list I took to NOVA this year that was solid. List 1 is something I've been trying.

The only concern about List 1 is the lack of ranged higher Strength firepower that the Psycannons and Dreadnoughts provide.

List 2 can also bump me up to 7 Scoring units of which one is very difficult to deal with.

If I must pick. List 1 looks better. However, neither list seems well suited to this edition. Those acolytes arent going to last long enough to cap objectives. I also see Necron Flyer lists giving this a very hard time. Especially if your Ravens come on the board first.

Yeah and also necrons will give your vehicles a hard time with all the gauss the throw around. and once the henchmen come out of the razors they will be blown away.

Oddly enough the army that gave me the hardest time with list 2 was Dark Eldar. Necrons Gauss hasn't really factored in dealing with the Razorbacks and they simply have no good answer to the Terminators.

Ill suited to 6th hasn't been my experience really as the Grand Masters ability to make the Dreadnoughts scoring makes taking down troops all the more difficult.

But with the votes stacking up for one, sounds like I'll be rolling with that one.

12 Guardsmen, 11 Terminators and a scoring Dread or two still isnt enough scoring presence in my opinion. At 1750 I'd want more bodies personally.

The lists are a bit strange since you waste transport capabilities unless you combat squad the Termies and transport them, say, in the Storm Ravens. I'd drop the idea to run two Landraider pattern tanks without dedicated cc units inside. Their killing potential is too low and they can no longer contest.

I'd rather not run the Terminators in the Stormravens as the moment they go down, that could be a death sentence. Besides that, the Terminators contribute greatly to the firepower of the list; as well as, being a bullet sink.

The Stormravens have always worked well for me empty and I don't see myself changing that up in the foreseeable future.

After some more play testing last night, I'm starting to shine away from the first list due to the DCA's and Crusaders fragility after combat.
