Great idea sir!!
A nice way to reduce costs and to make sure that we all get to give our miniatures a "runout" occasionally.
Armies like Imperial Guard, Empire, Vampire Counts, Tomb Kings etc. can really benefit from variety, and it can also dramatically reduce prices.
So long as we all agree the points and accept that there are models outside of GW that seem to work totally within the 40k or WHFB universes/ gamessystems then I do not see any particular issue with the use of multiple manufacturers.

Baron, don't forget to talk about the SEALs and Marines you habitually beat up on 2 and 3 at a time, as you PM'd me about.

Perhaps it is a lube issue, seems obvious now.

With the reaper kickstarter finally shipping my stuff out now is time to start converting stuff for my Ork and Guard armies

If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!

I love alot of reapers sculpts, and have used them with friends in the past, nothing wrong with it in friendly games at all.

Honestly can't see the problem with doing this, at the end of the day if your codex calls for a guardsman with a lasgun, a modded Russian infantry man represents that just fine.

It's when people start using ketchup bottles as dreadnoughts that I have an issue.

Yeah, quite a big fan of using non GW minis. It's a shame many GW stores won't let people field them though.
