Quick question:

Could the models for the US Paratroopers be used as US rifle guys?

If your opponent is is fine with it then there really isn't an issue, and you could proxy. That said it can get confusing if you have Para proxying for US rifles, and have US paras as a allied unit too.

As long as you don't have US Paras in your army....I wouldn't mind. They have similar looks and load-outs (model wise), not like it's too odd-ball.

They're practically the same model, I would know, I own both a US Rifle Company and a US Parachute Rifle Company (and thanks to Open Fire I only need to buy a box of 76mm Shermans from PSC to have an Armored Company.) They all use the same weapons, and pretty much the same uniforms at 15mm.

Plus it isnt our timeline's World War Two, it is clearly an alternate timelines world war two, so in that time line your Rifleman could have equipment similar to our Timelines paratroopers.

Thanks for the feedback.

Which brings me to the other half of the box.

I have lots of FJs on the German side, so I could always use the stuff in the box for some divisional support.

But I really like the feel of the Gebirgsjaeger PDF (although I don't know how viable they are). I saw that the GJ seem to have dedicated models (is it mostly the coats that make a difference?), but I was wondering how horrible it would be to proxy the Grenadiers for GJ. I figured I could paint stuff like the GJ and do mountain terrain on the bases to make them stand out.

It is not only the coat, but also distinctive ski forage cap einheitsmütze with Edelweis.
