I'm interested in buying some FW Eldar models. To be specific:

Warp Hunter
Corsairs
Nightwing

Are all of these models' rules listed in IA11 or will I need to buy multiple books. Also, are the rules/costs for the Nightwing identical between IA11 and IA:Aeronatica? The table of contents lists it as being in both.

Lastly, are there any models in the FW Eldar Range that are NOT covered by IA11 or the GW codex (excluding Super-heavy <anything> and Titans)?

The rules for the all three are in IA:11. Unfortunately the nightwing has a small change in aeronautica (it gains a universal rule that gives it +1 to cover saves when it evades). Otherwise they are the same.

edit: Actually the rules in IA11 for the nightwing are 5th edition rules. Aeronautica is still needed because the nightwing gains agile compared to the vehicle update that forgeworld put out.

edit 2: since i either missed or you editted you post. IA11 covers all the eldar models currently made that rules exist for (other than codex units). However the FAQ download is also needed.

If you think you are too small to have an impact, try sleeping with a mosquito.

Looking at a $120+ investment just to see if I like a unit enough to buy it.

I have not messed around with Corsairs yet nor the Nightwing.

But the Warp Hunters are worth their weight in gold.

Get two of them and it's just awesome, I always keep two in my lists.

Nthing that Warp Hunters are Gold. Nightwings are also great anti-air, sporting dual Bright Lances and Dual Shuricannons, as well as a 2+ Jink. I run them in pairs as well. Don't forget Hornets either. I love the squadron I take as my 3rd fast choice.

Corsairs have been a bit lack luster for me, though I am just running them as allies, and that may be why.

Orkses is never beated in battle. If we win we win, if we die we die so it don't count as beat. If we runs for it we don't die neither, so we can always come back for anuvver go, see!

Just purchase IA11, none are super heavy and all are approved for 40k. Corsairs are a stand alone army, so cannot be integrated into C:Eldar except as allies. Warp Hunters, Hornets and Nightwings are all takeable by Codex Eldar and are all very good units.

I have a warp hunter.
I don't care if the rules are any good. I got it because I wanted the model - it's a cool model.

My mate was getting rid of it - and since it seemed to be one of the better FW castings (compared to what I've had to clean up for other clubmates over the years), I bought it off him - even though I no longer even play 40k.

Don't let the rules influence your purchases of kick-ass models. Let the rule of cool guide your hand.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Tried this. This was why my initial purchase of models was an Autarch, Swooping Hawks, Rangers and dire Avengers. I lost MANY games.

Lately, I've been trying to balance that. If a model is really powerful but looks like hot-garbage, I won't grab it. If it looks really good but handles like a brick in gak, I won't grab it.

With what I've been reading here, I'll go ahead and invest in IA11. My opponent will also like it as he fancies his army as "partially mechanized with airborne elements". He'll enjoy the drop troops at the very least.

Yeah, the only reason you need Aeronautica is if you can't remember that the Nightwing now has Agile.

Or you want to prove to someone that it does. Most people find asserting that your units have certain rules that you can't prove unconvincing.
