That doesn't sound very well thought out. So...essentially one single individual would be the law then?

Maybe this should just be the silly petitions thread.

I mean, including it with the other one about secession would
seem to imply that the secession petitions are silly.

Looks bad, most armed forces don't allow it.

Though I'm there are also more military reasons behind as well.

Mwahahahaha!

Speaking as an accountant, it's good to see other people suffer under the rule of crazy people that like making stupid rules that achieve nothing.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Chesty Puller most definitely would care; if only because it is exceedingly difficult to simultaneously immolate and bayonet a man if you've got your hands in your pockets.

Not if you're Chesty Puller. That's done with the eyes (immolation) and maybe his right foot. Speaking as a Warrant Officer, can we get petition going to do away with saluting. I hate getting the elisted train of salutes every time I go into the PX. I swear a platoon hangs out in the doorway and as soon as they see bars or leaves or birds they come swarming out at 5 meter intervals and ALL head straight for you. Especially if you have your hands full.

I kid of course.

Scruffy...I've done that with couple my squads....besides your only saved on the flight line but the PX is reserve for NCO games.....we did it to Gen Rodriguez twice at Bagram but he beat us back...he kept the salute up and walked by our line...muttering "you arseholes" in a good natured way. When he did pop over to my side of the airfied to keep tab on the surge equipment coming in and that we were pushing out a CASH equipment and vehicles and we were breaking some serious rules to get the convoy formed my commnader plan out informed him to watch and learn. We had to serious number crunching. I used him to to get a priority cargo lift for two surgical equipment sterilizer flown to their destination and not have them all on th convoy. The bastage remembered me when I was runnning the Rotary Wing Pax Terminal to in '08. This time around though I got my guys four AAAM's impact award (I've 14 AAM's so none for me but a group shot)

You shouldn't complain too much about being saluted as a warrant - at least those are salutes that generally convey respect instead of disdain.

Or fear, my buddy still tells stories about a Combat Engineer CWO5 who had his entire unit terrified. The guy was very... generous, with his use of high explosives. "That looks about right" usually meant a building was about to go down.

Thinking about it, I suppose fear is a kind of respect.
