TSG is at it again!! Right on the heels of our successful "Thou Shalt Con" mini-convention, we are rolling right into our next event... this time, we're out to help those families that are less fortunate then ourselves by donating a bunch of toys to the "Toys 4 Tots" Campaign. We are capping the Event at 24 players and incorporating some of the suggestions from our "Midnight Madness" Event. So be sure to read the packet and come on down for some more DOMINATION!! This time it's for a good cause.

Entry: $20 or $10 if you bring a new, unwrapped toy

PRIZE SUPPORT (In Store Credit NOT Cash):
1st: $100
2nd: $65
3-4th: $35
5-6th: $20
2nd to last: $25
Best Army Presentation: $25 (This encompasses Painting, Basing, Army Theme, Display Board, and all the "Little Extras" that go into making an army)
Best Painted HQ: $25 (Pretty Self-Explanatory)

The "Painting" Awards are not limited to non-finishers..
So, for example, if you finish in 2nd place AND have the "Best Painted HQ" (as determined by TSG Staff) that will net you $90.00 in store credit.

Thanks! Most of the regulars at the store are Marines or Retired Marines and we felt that it was a way to play the game and give back at the same time.

Which is why I played the bike army last time and I am play the Blood Angels this time; I wish to avoid the competitive army/ringer controversy of 2012 part deux!

Phazael -- Sorry to hear that you can't make it but Thank You for letting us know in advance that you are unable to attend!!! How did this go?

It went well...Snake has the stats, but we overfilled a 10 gallon bin and two smaller 5 gallon bins with toys.

Overall winner was Tyranids with Crons taking Second.

First off, I just wanted to personally THANK all the Participants and Thou Shalt Game for making this event possible!! We overflowed a 50 gallon bin full of toys plus another 10 gallon bin AND still ended up having a few toys on the floor. MUCH THANKS to Greg T., he collected a bunch of toys from his co-workers at Camp Pendleton Longrifle, so I wanted to give him (and them) a little shout out. It's also been arranged where all of the toys collected will stay local to help needy families in the Temecula area.

So, once again, THANKS!!! to everyone that participated. It was really great for me to be a part of such an awesome event!

As far as the tournament goes... my new scoring format worked well, as their were no ties this time. I incorporated a couple of suggestions from the last tournament into this one and everything ran a bit more smoothly... As always, if anyone has any suggestions, I will take them under advisement. So please feel free to let me know where you think it's lacking.. and I'll see what I can do about it

As far as placings go...

1st Place (53 pts) went to Joshua Dearth with a Winged HT, 3 Tervigon Tyranids list, he also had the best painted HQ with said Winged Hive Tyrant.
2nd Place (51pts) went to Isaiah Taylor (His first tournament in many moons) with a Dual Dreadknight Grey Knight List.
3rd Place (46 pts) went to Azgrim and a Mini-Scarb Farm Necron List.
4th Place (42 pts) went to Monster Rain and his balanced Necron List. "What, a balanced Necron list!! I've never heard of such a thing"
5th Place (41 pts / +13 Point Differential) went to Jon Costa and his Best Painted "Iron Warriors Army." It was him and Joshua for all the marbles in Round 3.
6th Place (41 pts / +11 Point Differential) went to Andrew Davis. He was playing Demons but I can't exactly remember what he had in his list...
Golden Spoon went to Jared Johnson. I think he was playing a Dark Angels list with Bikes... but I may be thinking of a different player.

Jorge Reza finished with 40 pts, one point out of the money. If anyone else wants to know where they finished just send me a message...

Thanks Again to all who attended... Especially those that drove in from the San Diego and LA areas.... Our last three events have all been in the neighborhood of 20 players, which his pretty outstanding considering we are quite a drive for most of our participants. Sadly, there will be no 40K tournament in January; However, our Escalation League will start on the 4th Sunday in January (Details will follow in a few weeks).

For our February Event, we are considering another "Midnight Madness" as our last one was so memorably EPIC, with the 40k by candlelight and all, we've had some requests to do it again. So sometime this week I will be putting up a poll here and on our FB page to see what you guys prefer; a regular Satur"day" event or our infamous "Midnight Madness" so keep an eye out for that...

That was so awesome that you guys were able to make it. I have family in AZ, so I know exactly how far that drive is... Hopefully it won't be the last time that we see either of you at TSG, even if it isn't until T4T 2013

One Last Thing in regards to this Event... When the toys were dropped off, we learned that we collected over 70 toys for families in need AND we also broke the local record for an Individual Storefront!! Thanks Again to all that attended and I know we can exceed that number next year The link is to a picture of all the toys laid out... I couldn't figure out how to upload pics into a post :(
