I had a bunch of Daemons laying around not being used in my fantasy army. All were built and on Square bases. I decided to cut off the bases and make em into a 40K army. I was pretty sick for a few days and had to stay home from work. Damn you bronchitis. The good part.... I was able to get some hobby on. I couldn't get up and do anything else so sitting in front of my TV and painting helped break up the boredom.

I got em primed, basecoated, washed, and highlighted. It'll be quick to get the rest of the colors on em.

Looking at the Daemon prince, I'm struggling with the coloration of the fleshy part of the wings... any suggestions?

I assume they're Tzeentch daemons, so how about a pale lilac?

Also, they are looking pretty good!

All my other armies are a darker or subdued color. I wanted something that would smack you in the face when placed on the table.... nothing does that like a nice pink!

What was your base pink color/paint? Looks like it might have been Krylon Watermelon...

Great job in general and especially on shading the pink.

I put brush to model. This time it wasnt a test model... this is my Herald of Slannesh on a Seeker. I owe thanks to a very good friend of mine. I always told him that if I ever painted some Slannesh models I was going to steal his color scheme. I called him today and asked his permission and he said he was flattered and always thought I was kidding. He does the paintjob much better than I do but I think its a reasonable facsimile.

Thanks Dennis!

Today I woke up and had to go to the doctor. I could have painted nurgle models with the crap coming out of my lungs. Turns out, bronchitis.

With that in mind I decided to paint some nurgle models, which in turn ended up getting a great start on the rest of the army that needed base coats, primed, or assembly.

I got the GUO finished, the Plagueridden for the Plague Drones finished, all my seekers base coated, my flamers need 4 more colors and based, and my Daemon prince of nurgle finally has a paint scheme on paper. 10 hours, a few naps, and about half a case of soda.... not bad for a days work.

Here are the finished Nurgle models from today.

Updates. Today I painted 995 points.... Lord of Change and two Tzeentch Daemon Princes.

Last sunday I decided that I was going to play in a tournament on the 25th. I was on the way to having a nice 1850 list and then changed my mind and wanted to play a flying circus. I went out and bought 2 more Daemon princes, making my total flying monstrous creatures to 10, and assembled and painted em in a pre heresy Thousand Sons scheme.

Here is the finished product. Note that there is a plague bearer unit missing. Its on the table getting based at the time of this picture. 1850 painted in 3 days. Ok so it was only 25 models......

Also in progress, CSM allies,
