Good evening dakkanauts, I would like to ask you if it would be legal to convert the cultist/sorceror from the warshrine kit for WHFB into a nurgle terminator lord.
The clue would be that rulewise he would be equiped with a terminator armor BUT the miniature itself wouldnt wear it. It would be represented by rocklike skin, bone spines, ivory, infected skin and similar.
Would that be tournament legal?

Depends on the tournament. If they need wysiwyg (which I believe most do) then no.

To make it tournament legal, you can easily find just the body bits for the Chaos terminator Lord on ebay relatively cheap (under $10 I think). Swap a few of those out for bits of the Warshrine model and you should be ok.

Another option is to use some green stuff and cut up some shields and give him some "plated mooshy bulk", which could pass for terminator armor.

There may be a way around it...

In whfb there's a mutation for sorcerers that gives what you ask: armour grade skin.

If you can do a suitable paint job to represent armour plating on skin, and put him on a termy size base, bulk him up that way, then that may work...

Always check with the to first though, better getting approval BEFORE you put all that work in.

Any* model can be made tourney legal with enough work put into it.

*Well except if they're manufacturer dependent for the tourney; no non-GW etc.
