So just wondering if people play
BA with 28mm as i guess it was intended, or if they use different models.
Personally i play with a friend at 20mm (1/72) mainly as the range of models is getting better for infantry (pretty much in love with The Plastic Soldier Company
http://theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk/ for all sorts) and with all the various kits out and about you can pretty much get what ever vehicle you want. I also prefer the scale as it makes the battlefield seem a little larger and with the wealth of train scenery we have some really lovely looking battlefields.
We did however when we decided to change the scale, change the ranges. We went to centimeters rather than inches and doubled everything, so 24 inches became 48cm. No real reason for doing this other then preference for
CM, and the ranges seeming better for the scale.
The scale means we also play at around 2000pts and the table does not seem crowded, but it means a really nice mixture of units, and of course with the cheap cost of 1/72 it means you can chop and change your armies a lot.
At the moment i play a 2000pt Heer force and 2000pt American Force
So is anyone else playing at a different scale, and how are they finding the experience and do they have house rules to help adapt?
