Sorry, I'm a bit out of practice after so many months of neglect. I remember writing lists keeping in mind that you can't use your warcaster's buffs on non faction models I.E. Mercenaries. I can't find anywhere that says this (besides a mention on BC).

I know a lot of spells say "friendly faction models." If this wording isn't on the spell, then go ahead and cast it however you want.

Yes, if it says 'friendly model" you can use it on mercenaries (ex : "Lightning Tendrils", Krueger's spell). If it says "friendly faction model", you can't (ex : "Deflection", Krueger's spell).

Oh, I haven't found one that says Friendly Faction among most my rulebooks. As you can guess I haven't been looking hard. That clears it up; I must have been wrong earlier this year, unless PP have found a way to FAQ and reprint a book that's been locked in a cupboard for months.

It will say it in the spells description on the caster's spell card. So it will say Friendly Model or Friendly Faction Model etc...

So for example, the Harbinger of Menoth has a couple spells. Crusader's Call and Guided Hand.

Crusader's Call says "friendly faction models"

Guided Hand says "target friendly model/unit"



So Guided Hand could targer Mercs, but Crusader's Call would only effect the friendly Menoth units. Except for Merc units with attendent priests as they become Faction units.
