They're site reads that their shop would be down for maintenance for September, pending going back up on November 1st. Well its the 19th now and its still not back up, anyone know what's going on with them?

I know that Curtis has moved recently, to a different country in fact.
One would assume that the delay is related to this.

He seems to be moving to Gran Canaria.

I've heard that also. Shipping to the USA was originally prohibitive for Ramshackle but then they switched to free worldwide shipping. Are they going to be able to continue to ship free or reasonably when he has to ship from the Canary Islands?

I hope this all works out.

Either way I wish I'd bought some stuff before they went on hiatus.

That's quite a move. I also didn't know they'd gone to free shipping. I'd have probably ordered some of the stuff I want to get from him eventually.

I emailed him last week, this was his response;

'I've moved the business out to Gran Canaria. Thanks for your interest!

I got the internet set-up yesterday, which is why I haven't been able to reply yet. Sorry for the delay!


Its taken a bit of work to find suppliers for the materials I need. I have set up the workshop and have the resin, but I'm still trying to find a supplier for packaging.

I also have to find the best way to post the orders. I instigated free world wide shipping recently, so the move wont effect the price of the models.

The web shop will open when I've resolved these issues, so that should be in the next couple of weeks.

Its been a bit of a wait, wanted to get one of the gnu flakk cannon mounts and artillery pieces at the end of the summer but found out the site was done til the 1st September, then it was closed til 1st October, another month went by and still closed, aargh! At this rate it'l be the new year before its open again, sigh.

It'd be nice if he posted that information on the site rather than making people think that the site was dead. =/

Yeah i agree, would have saved me from some disappointment every time the first of the month rolled by. Wouldn't mind moving to Gran Canaria myself but hopefully he gets his packaging issues sorted soon

Moving a business to a small island and then start to look for local suppliers sounds a bit weird.
But I guess he has his reasons.
