I got tired of my group talkin bout starting Infinity but not actually doing anything so I picked stuff up in the hopes that others will follow. I plan on playing Mercs but for now I'll happily learn with PanO. Anyway, I bought the following:

1 Jotums
1 Teutonic Knight
1 Knight of Santiago
1 Knight Hospitalier
1 Crusader Brethren
3 Akalis (hacker, combi, hmg)
1 Nisses (sniper)

I realize I can only run one knight at a time, I plan on getting more + order sergeants so i can do the sectorials, but other than that what should i purchase to round it out? Im figuring some fusiliers/regulars for my light inf. needs?

It's a rather eclectic mix but it's definitely a good mix from what I can see.

The Nisses and Jotum can be, later on, used for the Svarlheima Sectorial that is coming with the next book.

The Knights are definitely a good basis for a Military Orders Force and the Akalis as well are a decent start for an Acontecimento Shock Army.

I figured it was eclectic lol. Im kinda just going by what looks cool to me, if I can get something usable out of it so much the better. Also, Im a fan of the Sikh faith IRL, if it wasnt for my fervent agnosticism and dislike of hair I'd convert. If there is a Norse sectorial in the works then I might pick up more Nisses, otherwise right now im thinking the military orders starter, the shock army starter and the magister knights box would do well to round me out w. more options than I probably need. I have no clue what Im doing but as I understand it I should have a handful of cheap light infantry models that sit in the back generating orders for the rest?

With the Military Orders starter and Magister Knights box:
Those two alone are enough for a decent force for PanOceania, in my opinion.
The Shock Army starter isn't bad, but definitely benefits with the addition of the Sikhs.

The Norse Sectorial is likely going to have Fusiliers or some kind of specialist variant ala the Acontecimento Regulars but instead armed with Marksman Rifles rather than Combi Rifles.

Fusiliers can also pull double duty as cheap troops for a NeoTerran Capiteline force and additional Regulars in an ASA.

NeoTerran whatnow? ASA?

I dunno, the Fusilier minis dont really entice me, and the Regulars arent really that much better IMO :/

Yeah, the Fusiliers are kind of pants.

I've been considering an Acontecimento Shock Army myself, heavy on Bagh-Mari and Regulars. But the heads on the Regulars are definitely a bit of a downer.

If I were to do it, I'd replace their heads with the ones from the Order Sergeants.

I actually think the Regulars heads are pretty decent. I mean Id prefer awesome helmets w/ multi-lensed optics but I'll settle forwhat they get lol.

Well, the heads they have are okay but the problem in my opinion is that they are AVA: Total and having repeat heads of such quality would just irk me in anything beyond ALEPH.

Where the sun crosses the field of blood.

If you're confused, Neoterra and ASA (Acontecimento Shock Army) are two of PanOs three sectorials (the third being military orders).
I'd say you're in need of some basic grunts to give your orders and also let you start out small - It's preferred that you start out around 150 pts, which may be hard with the models you got as they're all in the middle to upper tier in terms of point costs. You need some Fusiliers or Regulars (or Order Sergeants if you plan on going Military Orders).
Also, remember that you don't have to go with a sectorial. It's perfectly fine to run generic PanO.

Do you do any other wargaming?

If you have some buddies with Necrons, I've seen a couple cool conversions using those single-optic sniper heads. The 28mm Heroic needs a bit of work to look right, but with a little modification and a pair of clippers, BAM, helmets.

I've been looking for bitz companies to find other helmets and the like. I'm in the same boat.

That being said, one you paint them up and make them you're own, you sort of get attached to em'. They might not be badass, but they can still be pretty cool.

Do I do any other wargaming...? I know all the words you're saying but in that order it doesn't make any sense to me....

Yes, I play tons lol. I think im fine w the stock heads on the regulars, I can vary them w different hair colors/styles (via greenstuff).

Yep, i ended up making my own after trawling the internet for weeks. Simple design but i think it did the job for my Infinimunda gang,

Or if you're feeling particularly daring you could pick up the Indigo Spec-ops model, make a resin-cast of the helmet head that comes with it, and then viola! Helmeted Fusiliers!

...crap I should do that.

I thought about that, but the Mandalorian styled visor from the Order Sergeants look so much better than the Bagh-Mari/Nisses/Kamau styled helmets when you visualize them on Fusiliers/Regulars.

Of course--that is my opinion.

Your opinion is valid too.
