Hi guys,

last night my house was burgled in which my Black templars army roughly 2.5k points was stolen which was kept in a Battlefoam 420 case with black templar iconography.

I would just ask for people to keep an eye out for black templar stuff looking like the pictures below, it might pop up on ebay which i am monitoring or local pawn shops, but incase it turns up further afield, drop us a message please.

pics of some of the army. I will post up a full list of what was taken soon.

Damn, I am sorry for the theft. Was anything else taken? It must be said that your carry case looks a lot like a laptop case. Must have been on an electronics good-spree. Might be worth physically checking the local area to see if the minis have been dumped? Behind fences, jittys, bins etc... Knowing the gak-stains who typically do this kind of robbery, the figures are probably worth nil to them. It's the immediate bang-for-buck that thieves roll for, such as laptops, mp3 players and so on so forth.

That really sucks mate.. burglars are the lowest of the low. If I see any of this stuff on ebay, I will of course be slinging a PM your way pronto.

I have to say though, I didn't think any burglars would take GW stuff, you don't happen to know any particularly poor/heroin addicted gamers do you?

5 Terminators with heavy flamer and assault cannon painted
5 Thunderhammer terminators with Forgeworld Templar storm shields with no heads unpainted.
1 Lightning claw terminator with Forgeworld Templar shoulder pads part painted with black and red chequered base.
2 BFG strike cruisers painted black with white fins.
3 Land speeder typhoons undercoated black with no crew with 2 probe points snapped.
Finecast helbrect with no pack or weapon un painted.
10 Undercoated tactical marines with Bolt pistol and chainswords, without shoulder pads but glue residue with the pads would be. Sand base with black under coat.
5 Painted marines, power sword, magnatised meltagun, 3 bolt gun and chainswords.
5 neophytes with the CC set up – painted.
5 Mk4 FW marines with Templar chainswords and bolt pistols with no heads unpainted.
1 FW Mk4 apothecary with no arms- unpainted.
1 Templar Standard bearer metal, painted with magnetised flag.
1 Deathwatch Templar heavy bolter marine painted.
4 marines with devastator packs on with no weapons unpainted
1 Landraider crusader ,lasscannon and assault cannons panels are white with extensive weathering and has black Templar icons-painted- missing bottom ramp
1 Landraider with black Templar icons all over it and hand brushed writing-painted
2 Templar rhinos with icons over with, 2 swords on top on one rhino, heavily weathered- painted
1 Predetor in Templar colours, heavily weathered , autocannon lasscannon set up
1 Templar Fighting champion from the GW command set, Inquisitor I on shoulder pad and power weapon and combat shield. – painted

Sorry to hear about this.

I've no advice on the whereabouts, but all I suggest is that if you do see it on eBay go to the police right away. Don't try and contact the seller because it might give them time to cover their tracks & flee.

Burglars are complete scum,i agree with the earlier post that the case looks a lot like a laptop case.As a regular ebay drool monkey i will make sure to grab you should any of this stuff pop up.

I hope you get your stuff back, I have also been a victim myself and these people are really the scum, i will watch out when i am scanning ebay, in fact i might even try and make a point of it.

I caught my thief and he has paid me back the thousands of pounds back, someone i knew, it wasnt enough no money is enough, i would rather have had the models the painted armies etc, many sold on ebay, people got some real bargains.

Anyway if someone does put them on there, someone may well spot them, you should keep checking, and i agree with the person who said they may well have dumped them when they realised it was a camera etc. So check with the police see if an honest person has handed them in.

Again i wish you luck....hate thieves....and the coming season brings them out en masse.

I hope you find the bastard soon and get your army back in good condition. Like was suggested earlier in the post if I were you I would search the neighborhood high and low and in every nook and cranny in the area. Good luck.

If the person/people that stole them don't know what they are chances are they will have thought they were just toy soldiers and dumped them, as before check bushes etc near by. If they didn't know and didn't dump them they may be on ebay but probably wont be described as what they are. Try searching for toy soldiers.

That said I hope you get them back.

Was anything else stolen? If just your 40K stuff was stolen I would be mighty suspicious. Your average burglar doesn't want toy soldiers and is going to go for electronics and jewelry. If they skipped everything else and went straight to the miniatures I would suspect gamers you might know.

While your miniatures are valuable I would think most burglars would not know this and have no idea how to unload an item like that. SO check the trash bins in your area. If you have homeowners or renters insurance I would try to see if you can get reimbursed.

You'd be surprised how knowledgable 'professional' burglars are in the value of some things. Unfortunately the internet/ebay has also made it pretty simple for anyone to do a quick price check and flog it on quickly.

I hope they find their way back to you m8, it's a horrible experience being robbed like that, especially with something that's taken you time to put together.

Best luck man, it must be the weirdest theft I heard after the xmass burglary of my sea side house 2 years ago. The thieves took the electric kitchen stove, a jar of pickled olives and peppers, some t shirts that I havent wear since 1993 (they left a leather jacket in the closet), 3 bottles of whisky and ate all the traditional Greek xmass sweets (see photo) we had left there for the weekend to come. I mean wtf who steals pickles man?

My neighbor had his house robbed and they took the time to make sandwiches and drank all his soda. Then stold the stove and microwave, Strangely enough they left the 50" flatscreen and his blu ray player.

They caught the guy a coupel weeks later and he lived about a block away, was breaking into a lot of local houses to support his drug habit and stole really oddball items.
