Hi all I have a doubles tournament coming up on Sunday and we made a few last minute changes to our list so I just wanted to post it on here to see if there are any improvements we could make. The tournaments rules for list Building are that you use the rulebook allies matrix and the compulsory force org per player is 1 HQ and 1 troop.

Ok 1st off I don't know how the tournament is ruling on the storm lords lightning and weather it will turn on my buddys grey knights but i have convinced him he will be able to srugg it off with his stuff anyway.

1st turn most of the grey knights will be on the board hiding behind the defence line and in the cover of night fighting that the storm lord will provide. the stormlord and his chronotek will hide behind some LOS blocking terrain, then turn 2 most of the air cav should arrive. The grand master will give at least 1 dread knight the ability to score so with a possible 7 scoring units we should be good for objectives.

All feedback would be greatly appreciated this is a tournie list so no need to hold back to spare my feelings

Anyone got any feedback? Anything helps as won't have any time to playtest the list before the tournie.

Is there only one troop choice in the GK list?

It is definantly a hard list given how good the cron flyers are and SR and two dreadknights does sound pretty harsh!

yeah its at 4tk and there is only 1 troop in the gk list as i think the rules pack says compulsory 1 HQ 1 troop, though the grand master can make d3 of the dread knights scoring so we shouldn't have problems with objectives.

Ignore that, just check and your right! 1 troop and 1 hq each, hmmmm, interesting...

Makes it easier to fit in killy stuff, cant wait for sunday i haven't played a doubles tornie before should be interesting.

Er yea just a bit of killy stuff!, from my point of view (as I am playing as well) its going to be hard as I havent got any anti air!,

What armies are you playing, some have a harder time countering flyers that others.

GK and BA's, against that many flyers most armies would have a problem!, I can counter anti armour and anit infantry in one list, or counter anti armour and anti air in another list, just cant combine the two at 1k points, plus I didnt know about the 1 troop option!. Not to matter now its too late to change my list

Well there are 4 teams coming up from our club at Norwich most of which don't contain flyer spam.

I have beat cron flyer spam before mainly using a blanced BA list, we do have on storm raven which wont do well against your army!,

My plan was to ignore the air unless I have nothing else to shoot at so thats going to stay haha

Cheers bud, yeah was quite surprised we got the win mainly due to the army's on the top table having as many victory points as they did after game 2, luckily they drew where you the guys with the 3 ravens ?
