Here are photos of a large batch of troops I am finally calling finished. I think this is good for 'table top' and I am fairly pleased with the outcome considering my skill level. I am not at all happy with the attempted edging on 90% of the bolters and feel like I ruined most of them. :( But, the only way to get better is to do it so I drove on. I am ok with the free-hand arrows. It was a pain and they are no where close to symmetrical but once again, the only way to get better is to just do it. Ok, I'm going to shut up now and just post the pictures.

Bases look really nice and you've done a tidy job on the Marines - the shiny silver isn't overpowering.

How do you highlight the boltgun/silver? I do a similar scheme (gold on the shoulder pads), and I never can get the highlights to look good.

I like your Marines!

Silver / Gold / Brass are probly the hardest metallics to get right. They are easy to "overdo".

Your boys look great!

I like the helmet variations.

Cant wait to see the vehicles!

Great looking silver skulls! I really like the basing, how did you do it? I see a bottle of Vallejo pigment in background of one pic, could that be a hint?

Oh I have followed your Silver Skulls. I believe I have commented on them several times. I really like the darker look of your guys. And you have done some pretty awesome conversions.

The bases are: basecoat of GW Calthan Brown, dry brush of VGC Parasite Brown, then Vallejo Pigment 'Dark Red Ocre' (applied wet, mixed with rubbing alcohol)

Thanks! I would love to see them on a mars table! That is exactly what I was going for and am glad to hear that the contrast came out well.

Thanks all for the kind words.
