My latest models finished. The Crimson Damned.

Bases from http://www.foundationsofwar.co.uk and were £4.50 via eBay. Took some cutting but got the figures mounted atop the skulls and I think the finished effect is good.

I decided on an old, ancient look for the bones on their armour, this stuff is invulnerable! It has to look ancient!

The sgt.

Trooper.

Bad ass!

Heavy!

Ribs to go?

Hot stuff.

Flamin hell!

The boys got backbone!

Trooper.

He's got a pineapple for ya!

So has he!

Go ahead Ork, make my day!

Representing!

I hope you enjoy these, any comments welcome. I have just realised that I haven't finished the sgt. Plasma pistol! I will put that right ASAP!

See the process on my blog.

Looks great! But I see Legion of the Damned...

I see red fisted legion with crimson fist wording on some models. Therefore not standard legion.

Nice job! I love to see the LotD. I still haven't even primed my guys yet.

Look great! I hope mine end up as good. Hope they get a little cheaper in the next codex though I was going to try to tie mine in with my crimson hawks diy chapter too. Not sure how yet.

Looking good. This is the first time I've seen someone tweak the LotD scheme and I've got to say, I much prefer this slightly more subdued version. The aged bone (brilliant execution, by the way) and the darker, more evenly blended flames step away from the old school, cartoonish feel that never really jived with me. This is the Legion for the new, grimdarker era.

Wow. This inspires me to get some damned.

The bone looks really good, too.

By bolter and honour, by blood and fire, we shall cleanse this galaxy. By Vulkan, and by the Emperor, CHARGE!

Yo Dawgs, I heard you like grimdark, so I put grimdark in yo grimdark in yo grimdark in yo universe that is obviously grimdark.

Thank you everyone. The first game with them was a kill team game against CSM and I wiped the floor with them.
