For the Daemons of Chaos/Chaos Daemons and Warriors of Chaos suppliments, are they something integral to the current codices/army books?

If I buy the WoC Army Book is the suppliment a necessity? Did they make some rule changes or something?

Same thing for DoC/CD, is there anything in the supplements that I would direly need?

*disclaimer: I put this in Dakka Discussions since I didn't know if I should have stuck it in the Fantasy or 40k discussion sections

Obviously, if you really want to use the rules in the supplements, then you'll need said supplements, but I think you can probably cope without the new unit choices until the army books are released next year. Guessing this won't be far off.

Ah. So its mostly just introducing new units? I thought there might be some rule/point tweaks or something.

Screamers and Flamers were both substantially changed. I suppose GW means for the old rules to ALSO be legal, if you don't have a copy of the new rules for them. Which is crazy.
