Great work...how did you get the worn-through, needs-a-repaint look on the armour plating?

At the end of the painting process I dry brush the with chrome model car paint. but wait for your brush to be really dry(if you try it on paper it must barely make a trace). i recommend to try it on a practice model at first because if you put too much it will look pretty messy. It give them a shiny metallic look.

Fantastic Job... I love grittier looking models

When I started doing my CFists, I wanted them to look darker, dirtier... like they havent forgotten the tragedy of Rynn's World

About the Rynn's , when i started doing my crimson fist army I wanted to build a terrain based on Rynn's world but i could not fin any visual reference or a good description of the terrain on the web. I know its a farm world but i have no idea how are farm in 40k. Does they look like classic field and barn , hydroponic green house. or isit more industrial?

These are awesome, I love the worn dusty look you've given them, makes a nice change from the clean armour you usually see.

Weirdly I'm painting up some CFs and was planning to do a Mars style base too, what did you use to make them look dusty?

I use a brown dry pastel stick that i crush into powder.well it work Ok but i think real weathering powder would work better pastel don't stick very well, but i'm still testing a lot technique.

Not normally a fan of heavy weathering, but on these guys it looks pretty sweet. The metallic sheen doesn't come through on my computer, so it makes them look like they're graven in stone. I hope that look is there on the real models! Either way, great stuff!

In other words, really over doing the battle damage

I'm sorry. It's okay, but so much battle damage just removes any trace of skill.

I guess that's just my opinion.

Those old school vets with the racing stripe faces are awesome!

Never seen tanks like those before, but I like them.

That metallic blue grows on me more and more the more often I see it.

yeah im pretty fond of metalic color for space marine or machinery. I alway put som silver iridescent paint in my color mixt. it give a shiny metal like feel to every color. work well with brown too, give used metal kind of feel.

my mixt is: 4 part pale blue or (wathever color you want), 1part silver,5part 70% rubbing alcohol. then put it in a airbrush
