Subject: Product mentioned in The Independent Characters(question)
In one of the latest episodes of The Independent Characters they mentioned a product you spray on plastic miniatures after you've cleaned it that evens out the features and preps it for painting and i cant for the life of me remember what it was. Couldn't find anything in google and i don't remember what episode it was.
Any help would be appreciated
Edit: Turns out it was IC. Still havent come across it yet though.

No it wasn't paint it was some kind of plastic spray that has some solvent properties and very slightly erodes the plastic to smooth out file marks and cuts. They said to make sure not to overdo it as it would erode the details and they said it leaves the mini shiny but paint clings to it much better after. I wanted to try it on some low quality plastics i have that need a lot of cutting and filing but they tend to flake a bit so it sounded like it would help finish them off.
Think Ima have to start listening to all the recent podcasts again...

It is sort of primer - sort of putty - Liquid Green Stuff 10 years before GW thought of it. Depending on what you are dealing with you have 3 different types to choose from. The thicker stuff is for joint lines, while the fine stuff is for dealing with scratches from sand paper.
However, the description you are giving sounds like they are just talking about a thinner (either lacquer thinner or something like turps). It will gently melt plastic provided you don't use too much. It can turn it into a puddle of goo if you use too much.
