Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

It's not bad at all, but there are two main things lacking.

a) Tomb Kings are a magical army, one thing you are really lacking in. You should be dominating the magic phase.

b) This is more of a personal thing for me......rank and file troop! There is an over reliance on shiney toys, you are just scraping the 25% min for core units, but if youf hard hitters do not win the combats quickly they are going to vanish very quickly due to combat resolution. The large units of skeletons should pin the opposition in place then hit them in the flanks with your rare and special units. Keep the archers at the back to protect the catapults and casket and cut down on all the on the points on the specials for some big units of spearmen.

I know its not as exciting, but it is a bit more balanced.

Arkhan dominates the magic phase
+D3 dice a turn from the casket
+D3 casting to each spell from the titan
3 dispel dice stored as power dice from arkhan
and he is level 5 death
so what is the reasoning behind you thinking i lack in magic?
not being defensive or anything, just curious

For me it is a case of all the eggs in one basket, it's just a personal thing but one lucky cannon shot or a goblin doom diver on the head and you have lost all your magic and only character.
I play chaos dwarves, I could have Drazoath on his monstrous but I think that having a Lv4 magic user on foot and a couple of Lv1 or 2 is a better spread as well.
This is just my personal choice, different Lore spells from different directions.

Its just how I choose to play.

difference is drazoath and any other miunted character can be picked out, whereas arkhan is sitting pretty in his archer unit at the back of the board

Ahhh, my bad, I was thinking old school Arkhan when he was mounted on a dead manticore as a chariot. I did not realize we was on foot these days.
