So this is more or less a placeholder for now.

As I laid there, reading my copy of HH Betrayal, it dawned upon me -- thumb be damned -- that I needed to get back into the hobby, not only because I really miss sculpting 40k related stuff. But mainly because, damn, heresy era skirmishes and zone mortalis? SOLD!

As far as the lineup is coming along, i've begun to formulate the list as follows:

So for the most part my sculpting has led to one-off models, and after some discussions with my partner and random assorted third parties here in sthlm, i've decided to build a pre-heresy UltraMarines force aiming at 2k points and mostly infantry.

Now I have ideas and will be jotting them down here while I relearn the 6th ed rules and the HHB additions.

In rough we have:

Vesper Peritsakis - Legion Praetor
mastercrafted volkite charger, boarding shield, paragon blade. clocking in @ 150
(also adding rite of war, pride of the legion)

I should tell you that i'm split here as it relates to Vesper, i'd like to trick him out in mk1 TDA but that means i have to a) get ahold of terminator legs cool.gif make a fresh shoulderpad mold for my recently finished mk1 shoulderpad.
But, also, is the mk1 a valid standin for the justaerin/tartaros TDA? (I should mention that I realise that I won't be able to bring the model to GW meet n greets)

Alexandrii Hadar, Legion Centurion Champion.
mastercrafted heavy chainsword, refractor field. clocking in @ 105.

This will be a custom sculpt consisting of the traditional posé pioneered by various sword & sorcery animés where the model will be holding the chainsword (custombuilt i might add) by two hands in a running sprint, the sword will be teeth down dragged behind the model in some odd riposte.

troops is beyond me, but will probably consist of 2 legion veteran tactical squads, one seeker squad (are those scouts or.. PA troops?) and two support squads.
and oh, a termie squad and a space crusade dread.

I've already begun working on Vesper and will be posting shots tonight when I get back home.

I also placed a megaorder of FW bitz consisting of bolters, bolters, volkite chargers, tartaros torsos as i will be sculpting the legs anyway, and this as a standin for the rotorcannons:

These damn 3d printed suckers set me back 80€, call me a patron of the arts..

Along with this I have some liquid blu-stuff incoming so that I can half the work on truscaling my smurfs.

and before the game tacticians come whiteknighting, this is fluff-army, like in newcastles toon-army, i aim to please my aesthetics :p

so I decided to add another old school dread looking beast to my army. why? one can never have enough dreads. but this one isnt of gw but rather from the russian robogear game/toyline, why? well. let me illustrate

this is a space crusade dread

this, is a robogear walker

yeah. so I got a hold of two for 8$ on ebay, this means i'll have to add some apoxie, sand down, cut arms, exchange weapons and et voila! dreads.

Tactical marine 1 WiP

The idea here is to have the marine holding the bolter in the magpul tactical grip du jour, fingers over barrel, thumb under.

his base, going to saw it in half sooner or later due to its thickness

ph bolter test

oh and i got this earlier this morning, due to ... bday!!

Supplydrop!

So here's a sneakpeek at the "counts as" rotorcannons, the drone i'll be using as a master for my "counts as" servoskulls, once the drone is molded i'll add wings to each fin starting at the "engines" on the "wing"

update to the tacmarine, need to redo the eyeslits, they look horrid atm
