Subject: Easiest Console to Develop For?

I'm going to be starting games design and software control at college soon, and I am interested in developing games for OOP consoles, like the Nintendo 64, the Sega Mega Drive etc.
Which brings me onto the main point: which consoles are the easiest to develop for? I have heard the Dreamcast is very developer friendly, as is the PS1.
Oh, and please, don't turn this into a console war thread. Thanks!

You're welcome.
On a serious note, why are you going to develop for outdated consoles?

Fun mainly. Plus I like the idea of supporting owners of a console even after the discontinuation of said console. Also, I would have thought older consoles would be easier to develop for.

People still make games for the Nintendo NES. And if done well, can sell decently enough. Then again, people still make games for Atari 2600 as well. Halo Atari looks pretty neat

From what I understand - OUYA is supposed to be a Open Console so you do not need to pay for Expensive Development kits.
You can get a dev kit early for 800.00 USD. BUT you can just root your OUYA console once it arrives in march 2013.
OUYA
Here are the OUYA specs -
Tegra3 quad-core processor
1GB RAM
8GB of internal flash storage
HDMI connection to the TV, with support for up to 1080p HD
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth LE 4.0
USB 2.0 (one)
Wireless controller with standard controls (two analog sticks, d-pad, eight action buttons, a system button), a touchpad
Android Jelly Bean
Ethernet
BTW - Care to share some details on your game?
I am currently working on a 2D Game in Game Maker: Studio. A Cross between the Sims and KAG (King Arthur's Gold)

I haven't actually got many plans yet, although I'm thinking a fantasy RPG spoof, kind of a joky mix of Zelda, Final Fantasy and Eldar Scrolls.
