Well, TBH this looks like a Crimson Fists list. IMO Tac Squads don't belong in a BA army. I would switch them out for Assault Marines so that you get your discounted transports and then pack the heavy weopons into a Dev Squad.

Also, you need some AA. Grab an ADL w/ Quadgun at the least.

I LOVE Tycho. He's in charge of a 2000pt list I just posted and he's very under-rated IMO. What are you going to do with him here though? I'm assuming you're sending him with the Sternguard? He would fit in well with them considering Bloodsong.

If I were to crit. anything, I would say your TAC squads feel a little unfocused. It looks like each one is expected to do a different job and there's no redundant back-up if that squad fails or is destroyed. Also, IDK about the Vindy's. I'm admittedly a little biased here because I always role poorly with them, but I feel like they are too short ranged for this list. The nice thing about them is that they are good against armour and troops alike, but you might consider replacing them with Predators. I feel like the Preds would better compliment your troops and they would (if I'm not mistaken) be a little less expensive.

EDIT:

I would also add that TAC squads in a list with Tycho as commander are perfectly reasonable.

I appologize if my comment came across as harsh, I did not mean for it to.

The way I look at it, is this: you have dumped 220 points into transports alone. If you were to replace your Tac squads with ASM's you would save 105 points leaving the SG in the rhino ( I would switch this to a DP btw). That does not include switching out your heavy weapons mind you. With that 105 points you could get another scoring ASM unit with drop pod and a flamer.

Lol and I apologize to you. I didn't mean to imply anything with my comment except that from a fluff stand point TAC squads make sense with Tycho since he is not a jump commander. Your point about the transports is very well made though. My BA army is the only one I have with no Rhinos specifically because of the 50pt cost. You are right in that at 1500pt they may not be as cost effective as the OP might wish.

While I respectfully disagree that Tac Marines don't belong in a BA army. I do have to support Falco's suggestion of ASM's.

I have a 2000 pt Defensive Tycho list that I've yet to lose a match with. I lend these victories in part to the 9 Jump Pack Death Company with Lemartes, 4 Power Lances and the Death Company Dreadnought.

Playing Blood Angels, especially in 6th edition, should almost always include Death Company. There's really no reason not to. Are they expensive? That goes without saying. Their benefit, however usually earns their points back relatively quick.

If you can find a way to squeeze in a unit of DC, do it. With jump packs they are a great way to counter assault but you pay through the nose for their mobility. Without jump packs, don't put them in a vehicle they can't assault from.

That being said:

I hate rhino's. I hate them with an undying passion. Even more so with the introduction of hull points. It makes them even more useless. But that's just how I feel about it.

Personally I would take a razorback if your are going to take transports with them. I like them in a Las/Plas configuration.

The main thing is to keep it consistent. Have at least 2 units kitted the same.

The Stern Guard are fine. Don't take a plasma cannon with the tac marines. If they move you can't snap fire it. Missile Launchers are much better and muc more reliable.

How I kit mine are Plasma Guns and Missile Launchers.

Death Company in 6th are AMAZING. If you can, do as Mordechai said and squeeze them in/make room for them. They are a hammer when it comes to CC and usually clear a MEQ squad a turn easy. I run a 9 man DC squad in a LRC and they are nasty.
