Thought I would post some pics of a Stormbird I am building for a Tempus Fugatives event in March. Upper wing needs skinning, after that it needs weaponising and tarting up. I will have to build a strong base for this one.

Very nice, I like what you've done. My only gripe would be the fan blade housing being too thick for the wing. I would probably cut the fan housing down and thicken the wing. You went for aerodynamic when as we all know the Imperium sends ships into the air with all the aerodynamic ability of a brick.
This is all personal opinion though, I think what you've done is excellent!

Or thicken the wing around the housing to match. That'd be easier probably (since you're using computer fans and they'd be hard to cut in half)

yes, I will be fully including the housings when I skin the top wing. I am still working on the electrics so I've not finished the wings yet. I want laser beams coming from the wing lascannon as well as from the turret neutroblaster, and the rotor speed needs controlling.

Are you familiar with DC fans at all? Getting them down to ~3 volts they'll spin, not move much air... but they might not start spinning at 3v.

I was just going to stick a trimmer in series, give me full speed control, I don't want them to waft air just turn enough to get the rotor effect, I might try lower voltage, thanks.
