Ok this is a dumb question and I have read and read the rules and I am still not totally clear on the rule. Example; Daemon prince has power armor with a 3+ armor save and also has a 5+ invulnerable save. If he is shot at by (insert gun here) and has an ap5 the Daemon prince gets his 3+ armor save and let’s say he saves all but 3 wounds, Does he get to make his 5+ invulnerable save on the wounds or does the invulnerable save only come in effect with an ap2 weapon or something that would negate the armor save?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I wanted to confirm the official ruling.

Again the answer you seek is on P.19 "Models with more than one save" (It is even in bold).

DeathReaper; I have read pg 19, prob 5 times haha. I am still confused on the wording so I decided to get a second opinion.

so if i understand correctly, in the case of an ap 5 weapon I would use the 3+ armor save since its better then the 5+ invulnerable save, but if im being hit with say an ap2 weapon then I would use the 5+ invulnerable save correct?

Ok I couldnt tell, No I think where I was getting confused was not that line but everything arround it haha. My gut feeling was that the model would only get one save (otherwise you would never wound him) and since a bunch of my buddies are playing this weekend (some for the first time) I wanted to make sure my rules were polished and correct.

okay, yea the bold is really the deciding factor here.

A model may only make one save. (So cover, Invuln, or armor) and the model must use the best (Lowest number) save he has available.

Remember that Feel No Pain is not a save and may be taken after cover, Invuln, or armor saves, unless the wound causes Instant Death.
