I have been playing MTG for a couple of months now and I have amassed quite a collection so far. I am trying to improve both my gaming and deckbuilding skills and so I have been practicing building decks here's one that I think has real potential, it breaks down into mana, creatures that are there for mana, creatures that are there for fightin or bonuses enchantments and other spells Mana: 1 x transguild promenade 4 x Selesnya Guildgate 2 x Sunpetal Grove 1 x Rouge's Passage 7 x plain 6 x Forest 2 x Guilded lotus (which is an artifact but once on the table produces 3 mana per turn Mana Creatures 2 x Gatcreeper Vine 4 x Arbour elf 4 x Elvish Archdruid 2x Axebane guardian the gatecreepers each bring a basic land or gate to the party, the axebane guardian can be tapped for one mana per defender in my army, the arbour elves are tapped to untap a land and the Elvish archdruid is tapped for x mana where x is the nuber of elves in the army. Creatures 1 x Thraben Doomsayer 1 x Attended Knight 1 x Healer of the pride 1 x Loxodon Smiter 1 x Champion of the pride 1 x Silklash Spider Creature generating spells 4 x Commanders Authority 1 x Eyes in the Skies 1 x Rootborn defenses 1 x Druid's Deliverence 1 x trostani's Judgment 1 x Gather the townsfolk 2 x Moonsilver Spear (because nothing annoys people like their lost life making more enemies) 1 x knightly Valor other spells 1 x Ring of Thune 2 x Ethereal Armour 2 x Builders blessing 2 x Collective blessing Sideboard 2 x Horncaller's Chant 1 x Silklash Spider 2 x Rangers path 1 x Boneyard Wurm 1 x Primordial Hydra 1 x Green Sun's Zenith 1 x Primal Surge 1 x Intangible Virtue 1 x Security Blockade 1 x knightly Valor 1 x Gather the townsfolk 1 x Voice of the Provinces 1 x Captains Call Thanks for the help guys

If you really want token producton in standard, you can't beat these two cards:
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=221214
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=262695
Lingering souls has flashback, but will require for you to splash black for it. Trust me, it's totally worth it to flash it back.
But then you want to make your tokens bigger so they can actually do damage? Try these on for size:

Intangible Virtue makes it to where your spirit tokens are 2/2 flying and vigilance out of the gate, and that's pretty tough to handle. Craterhoof is a one-of that goes with your manaramp. Your first 5-6 turns should be ramping and making doods and then you play this guy and win. (meaning you only need one in your deck)

I'm not big on enchantments normally but in a token deck you can have a lot of fun with Intangible Virtue and Parallel Lives. Also Call of the Conclave is one of the best token generators there is, a 3/3 token for two mana is incredible value when you have a token friendly environment with abilities such as Populate. Moonsilver Spear seems good but it costs four to play and four to equip, in a standard game that's two turns and you're probably taking a beating. It's just too slow.

well thank you for the constructive comment however, Any advice on how to improve this white/ green token deck? Yotsuba Snake: I was thinking about lingering souls, chromatic lanterns would take care of the black mana as can the guilded lotus. Money is a bit tight so I have to spend wisely.. Howard A Treesong: I do have some call of the conclave hanging around someplace... might have to fit these back in somehow. a

Are you trying to stay standard?
