I am planning to start a Imperial Fist 3rd Company.
Does someone have a good technique with the new paints? Was planning to put a lot off effort in them and nedd some tips.
I use brush.

Thanks for quick reply. I will try both as soon as I get my hands on the paint and models.

Im planning to get the yellow part first. And then use precision tape on the bits and pices im not going to paint yellow. Afterwards I will use it the other way around.

This will take time but im not doing a whole lot of models.

Only 20 tactical marines 5 storm shield termies Lysander and two rhinos.

Thanks again I will post some pics if I get a camera this Christmas.

hello, well I've only painted a few yellow things recently , but ill give it a shot any way using up to date GW paints
just a warning, yellow is notoriusly hard to paint with

other things to do would be the eyes but i don't know how you want those (color wise) and then the little purity seals things or whatever, just go wit Khorn red on the dot thing and highlight with Wazdakka Red
then the paper thing just go with what you want, bone colors work well, n add little black or gold scribbles on them to add that little dab of detail.

My tecnique for purity seals will be White edges on the seal. Then add a dark red in the middels and a light red over the white part. Makes it look like a ancient wax seal.

For the eyes I will use a bit off the same really. Making a lighter area in the middel with white and partialy over paint it with light red and a darker red on both sides. Maybe, just maybe I will try a hint off red glow around the eyes. Will see how that turns out.

i dont do Imperial Fists myself but did paint some yellow bits ona base that i think came out ok:

Started with a coat of black spray 9just a generic one from halfords).

Then a slightly watered down coat of Averland Sunset (is that the new "Base" yellow?).

Once that was done i did a coupel of thin coats of badmoon yellow (old GW paint - i've had the pot for years).

Then a watered down wash of Devlan Mud to finish.

Its very nice. Alas Devlan mud and bad moon yellow is Oop
