Thinking of new ways to bring out my Templars and Angels any cc is greatly appreciated.

* 2 x 5 Sword breathen terminator squads 255
(tank hunters, 2x assault cannons)

(10 initiates, 9 neophytes, powerweapon, plasma gun)

*2 x Deathwing Terminator Squads 235/ 265 pts
(cml, 1 with apothecary, all th/ ss)

Should come in at 1993 if my math served me correctly, just trying some different things with the old tried and true, any cc is welcome looking to make it a more competitive army. Thanks all in advance!

I like the idea, but for competitiveness you need some anti-air.

Well he has 4 CML, and 12 assault cannon shots, yes you need 6's, but thats still pretty decent. Also all that 2+, 3++ is hard to beat. He could even try to ignore the air.... might work out ok.

After Some tinkering I have another variation, less termis, more bikes, just noticed something somewhat nice about them (atleast as far as aging dexes go).

Well here is my revamped list, I lose one squad of sword brethren termis and trimmed some fat ( and there assault cannons aswell) but gain, 3 Bike squads with 3x plasma, and a Aegis Defense Line. Comments and Critism very welcome

Looks like you can lay some more hurt down with all that plasma now. I like to run 5 man bike squads (2 extra guys to soak up wounds).

Who will be on the ADL manning the quad gun? the EC might be a solid choice with his WS. just a thought.

Not sure where to stretch the points out for extra bikes without losing a Terminator unit or seriously gimping a scoring unit, and Put the EC instead of the Chaplain on the quad?

Yeah, if your streched for points, then I wouldnt worry, 9 bikes with plasma coming at you is still scary.

Well where would the EC go otherwise? Also, i dont use the lesser chappy that much, does he have WS5 as well? Then it wouldnt matter. I am just looking at the 2+ to use the quard gun to hit.

I think your meaning to Say BS5 lol, thats what confused me when you said put the EC on there.

The Ec is only Bs4 though, where as the chappy is Bs5, lesser chappy just has one less wound for 15 less pts, Im only really using him to keep the one block of crusaders steady, and crucial fearless and frag grenades if the situation calls for it.

Ec will probably be hanging out with Belial in crusader squad two (belial gives them that second crucial fearless, EC gives the grenades) or wherever else I could use a WS6 guy who can do abit of dmg

Ahh ok. The EC doesnt grant frags to the whole squad tho... or so that what I thought and have been playing like. If i have the EC charging in, he will strike first, then the squad at I1. Or am I wrong in saying that?

You are correct on the grenades topic, looks like I am brain flubbing myself here lol, which means looks like maybe bolters and shotguns for the Crusaders, lol faq can rise the price of stormshields and make all our characters weapons ap3, and screw with out vows, but cant give us the bare necessities...jeesh

I really like this list, and it gives me a lot to think about with my own list, so thank you for posting.

IMO, neophytes are more useful for fighting than they are for shooting since they can't get bolters. I think you'd be better off dropping a couple neophytes and adding grenades rather than switching the squads over to bolters, but I suppose either way works.

well tbh the neophytes (as terrible as this sounds are to die) they soak shots for the actual battle brothers, and set off my Righteous zeal, which with fearless (Chappy and Belial), I put in the 2 units with crusader seals (chappy and EC), wont be hard scooting aross the battlefield in a hurry while the rest of my army marches up shooting away, though Maybe your are right i should drop a few neos for nades on the unit

Well... the fearless is only in CC for the black templars. I am not sure about belial's fearless ability. If you worried about falling back, use a Marshal for 10LD on all black templar models.

Yes, Neophytes are bullet sponges :(, but there good at it, and we Zeal afterward to get closer!

Chaplain confers fearless, and belial has fearless which if IIRC is one of the many transferable usrs now

All black templars are fearless in close combat. With or with out a Chappy.

I was more referring to falling back from.shooting wounds or any kind of ld related hijinks
