Today we have a rather fun list designed with the idea of putting enough heavy armor on the table to overwhelm the bad guys on the other end:

HQ:
Master of the Forge + 6 servitors, power weapon (185)
Master of the Forge + 6 servitors, power weapon (185)

Troops:
10 Scouts, snipers, Melta bomb (145)
5 scouts, snipers, heavy bolter (80)
10 scouts, Telion, Missile Launcher (200)

Heavy Support:
Vanilla Land Raider (250)
Land Raider Redeemer, Multi Melta (250)
Vindicator

Elite:
6 Assault Terminators, TH/SS (240)
Transport: Land Raider Redeemer, Multi Melta

Fortification:
Aegist Defense Line, Quad gun

Total Points: 2000

MOTF's and servitors ride in 2 landraiders spearheading the attack fixing hull points/weapons destroyed/etc. Front land raiders shield the vindicator meaning it migh possibly actually get a shot off or two. Scouts hang around in bolstered terrain (behind quad line) with Telion on the quad gun watching for enemy birds. In a high objectives game, the 10 man scout squad w/o Telion can combat squad into the raiders to grab objectives (I may need to adjust the list actually for this now that I think of it). The Redeemers should be able to sweep away most troops with the flamestorms, and the other Land Raider and the quad gun can help with long range targets. Assault Terminators and MOTF's can eventually pile in to CC whatever the big stuff doesn't kill. I'm hoping this list can be viable enough at least to put up a decent fight, since it's more of a fun list than a competetive one imo.

Weakness: Not many troops, may be hard to deal with Terminator lists if they can knock out the one vindicator, or if it misses too many times.

Nice.

Vindicators are best when taken in pairs- could you drop some servitors and end up making this a dual-FOC list? Yay, 2x vindis

It looks like you have the Scout models to do it.

Trip Raiders I likey

Can't say I see many of em around these days, though its cool to see a list that hearkens back to the days of old.

Its been a long time since I have seen the vanilla Marine dex, do the scouts have camo cloaks? Maybe try to get 2 more Missle launchers on the other two scout squads for some long range power, maybe trim a master of the forge and the servitors and try and fit in a ironclad in pod?

Ive always love those with dual heavyflamers

Hmmm...

If I took off two servitors from each group, the melta bombs, and the melta guns off the two redeemers I could get a second vindicator, which would be perfect - obscured by the raiders until they're ready to shoot, and the Techmarines will still have good repair rolls.

The Scouts don't have cloaks, but the tellion squad has +1 cover and there will be 2 fortified locations from the techmarines. I put a heavy bolter on the scouts instead of the ML because snipers will likey be going for invantry (hoping to pick off special weapon charactors now that 6's are precision shots)

I do wish I could get a little more long range capability though, I could also sub out the redeemers/meltas for Vanilla raiders possibly.

Edit: Yeah 50 scout models sitting around waiting for action, I want to use them a lot now that they have precision shots with their sniper rifles

oooo Never take Vanilla Raiders...., if your not opposed to dreads, regular riflemen dreads are not bad, or Shooty termis....

I like me some shooty Termis though I play Dark Angels and Templars so I am alittle biased.

And the missle launcher does always retain the option to shoot a template which requires no to hit roll, and subs for anti tank capabilties which you could use

Hmmm personal opinion here from all the games I've played as DA, instead of running that nilla raider, try instead a Crusader. The amount of twin linked shots those things put out in close range is amazing. It's almost better than a template. How are redeemers this ed since last edition they could only ever really fire one of those template without some really badly positioned enemies
