I was wondering, with an AV 12 wall, would the best way to avoid deep striking armies getting behind them be to line up right against the edge or would it be to have them spread around the deployment zone evenly?
Of course if there are any better suggestions that would be great. Keep in mind though, that the AV12 wall stays.

Are you playing guard?
Take a platoon with a load of bare squads would work. Spread them around to deny as much area as possible.

Yep, I'm playing guard and I did consider the possibility of getting a platoon to "babysit", but I was wondering, does that reduce my potential objective taking? Also, how many men would I need? 40 or 50?
Depending on how many men it requires, it sounds solid.

Naked blobs are quite cheap and useful for wrapping vehicles and provide a great distraction. A friend of mine uses the to great effect (if the effect is being a nuisance and protecting vehicles)

Maybe if I showed you my list it would be easier for you to judge if the tactic is viable.

Deep strike real estate denial. Bubble wrap the rear of the vehicle with an infantry blob that denies deep striking that will expose the rear of the vehicle using the table edge to control space of course.
