Good, but a bit too white in my opinion. I think it would be better if the white triangle was a different colour, maybe the same as the lower bar? Just my two cents.

It looks like a strange mix between the flag of Israel and the one of the German Kaiserreich

And I agree with Rogukiel, either you should make the trim of the white triangle stronger or give it another color.

You really need to stop trying your hand at graphic design. This looks like three floating triangles. What are you going for in your "fluff', Jewish, German, or Russian? Because I have seen all three in your "check out my new design" threads.

Yeah.....

I just wish he would stop trying to be more unique rhan everyone else and just do something. The overly mixed "cleverness"of his stuff is tiring.

I don't like the flag. White on White looks boring. Red triangle, I think.

My first impression was that it seems like I've seen it before. The layout is the same as the current Israeli flag, so that's probably where that impression comes from. I don't know where the overlapped triangles come from, but I feel like I've seen that before too (but not from the Magen David). Remember that one of the purposes of a flag is for identification, just like heraldry from way back when. The white-on-white is bland and would be hard to make out from a distance.

I wouldn't really say it's supposed to be that obvious, maybe the second two more. There's a lot of smaller things I draw from, but they're not supposed to be obvious as themes.

+1 I would imagien that even you would at some piont lear that Dakka dont react well to the things you post. But since the web is free and freedom of speech still applies I will say this on your scheme. Its horrid!

I noticed this on your Wiki's front page, it's some what odd.

Also the Flag (and just about everything) is ripped off from Germany and Russia, specifically from the periods of 1929-1945, though the recent one resembles the Star of David.

The new design is much better imo. I think I would make the red deeper personally.

Also, what is it with everyone being so aggressive? Does this flag insult you? Your culture? What you represent? How? I think it's pretty damn disrespectful to tell someone they shouldn't even try designing their own emblems and flags just because it draws on pre-existing stuff. Since when has anyone ever made something truly original these days?

And not everyone is "gifted" with being a good graphics designer. I know for a fact that I'm terrible at it, but I still try. However, know I now better than to ask dakka for feedback thanks to alot of peoples' answers on this thread...

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing as a possibility. I suspect that people think that they can just insult things that they don't like. Some people do give constructive criticism. Some of the same people who have posted here. As for repeated posts of questions about designs, no one said they have to read or comment...

Is there a reason why you feel the need to post a new thread every time you make some minor design decisions about your army, instead of just keeping it all in a single "my army fluff" thread?

Normally had been asking questions though, and it would have either required changing the OP, or expecting people to read all the comments, which I don't think they do.

And it seems that you always get the same kind of comments when you post the same kind of concept. Starting new threads everytime doesn't change that.

Just seems like more of the same. Very German/Russian, not very IG or 40K. I can understand wanting to draw influence from a period of history on our own planet, but you really need to tone it down.

Agreed. Between the confused background, poor design, and poorly thought out fluff, this is just a poor idea in general. As a photographer with some experience in graphic design, one thing that would be taken into account in a design is an implied idea. Considering Jews wrre not really tolerated in either Germany or the USSR, why would you make a concept bridging all three?

If you want make a Russian inspired army, just do it. If you want to make a German-inspired army, just do it. If you think you're going to offend someone, stop and think if its worth it.
