I'll just say that there's some tricks you can do with a KoS with LD, but I think it generally pales to giving it a spirit swallower.

With ASF on a monster, it can kill other monsters. And it can get infinitely stuck in vs. smaller troops and stay alive forever, though it might not make its points back.
