By what I have seen this site has a very kind and informationally generous community! i intend to respect that and do the same. I have a few Questions...

1.) how do find out what the abbreviations and words highlighted in yellow on the forums stand for/mean?

2-a.) I purchased assault on black reach and intend to keep both armies yet let my sister and neighbor play the army I'm not using and im planning on making the space marines Crimson Fists, bu the issue is I do not know what faction/tribe i should make my orks... any suggestions if so please send a link of images so i can grasp the color scheme...

2-b.) on top of that does anybody have any suggestions as to what i should get/do to improve and expand both armies (especially orks so i can bring them up to par with the SM as far as points are concerned)

3.) if you are a user that knows alot about orks and/or Space Marines and dont mind a wargaming newbie semi-frequently asking you questions about each army please add me as a contact/friend/buddy or whatever they have on this site (if they dont have anything similar to the previous things please just do the following step) and message me introducing yourself and which army you would be willing to help me with.

Thanks-a-bunch,
Noob

Sincerely,
Noob

Hi and welcome!

Probably the next purchase for both armies would be the relevant codexes (codices?). A little bit boring compared to new models but still really important! There is also paint schemes for armies in their codex so that would help with the Orks!

If the abbreviated words are yellow then if you mouse over them they should appear in full, sometimes it can be off however! But generally that should be the right thing.

And feel free to message me with any questions, I collect both armies and have a bit of an idea about both

Welcome!

I agree with buying codexes as you'll need them either way. Good model additions would be a thunderfire cannon (space marine artillery good for horde control) and more boys and vehicles for through orcs to get them to combat.

If you ask that question at gw be prepared for them to grab you by the shoulders and shake you violently whilst shouting STOMPAAAAA repeatedly at you!

're orc factions again the codex will help, there's one that always coats themselves in blue warpaint that appeals to me as if they're rubbish at shooting they paint their trigger fingers and so on, stuff like that I like

Hope that helps and pm me as often as you want with any question yiure have.

Ps, hold your mouse over the yellow text (doesn't work on phones) or volbeat to nuts n bolts forum where there's a thread dedicated to it there

Welcome....

One piece of advice - you're more likely to get answers to your specific questions by posting them in the individual forums - Army Lists, Tactics, General, etc.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Welcome to dakka.

For orks it never hurts to have alot of boyz. I'd check out the swap shop and see if you can get any good deals.

Hello and welcome.

1) run your mouse over the highlighted abbreviation and a message box will be displyed explaining it.

2a) You can't go wrong with Goffs, although Speed Freaks could fit in quite well with the Deffkoptas. Probably Goffs though.

2b) Orks, more boyz. They always form the backbone of an Ork army so you can't go wrong with more. Definately get the Space Marine and Ork codecies though. Not sure about Marines though. Maybe more Tactical Marines.

3) I've been playing Orks for 4 years, and have taken them to a few tournaments, so I know quite a bit about them. The only downside is that I haven't played them in 6th edition. If you'd still like some help with them please add/PM me.
