Hay there !

So, this week a friend of mine challenged me and my SoB at a small scale. (600p) We will, most likely, play a simple Escalation/Annihilation mission.
I played his DE only once before and therefore have no 'real' experience against those. So I bet you want to see my list first ...

HQ:

Canoness /w power weapon -> 75p
Retinue /w 3x SB -> 124p

Troops:
1) SoB-Squad /w MM+Flamer -> 140p
2) SoB-Squad /w MM+Flamer -> 140p

Fast:
Seraphim-Squad /w 2 Hand-flamers -> 120

This leads to a total of 599 points.

But .. is this really 'ok' so far? I heard and read a lot of stuff about those DE being one hell of a squishy-fast thing.
Concerning the Canoness, what kind of power weapon would you recommend? If not, what instead?
I really love the model holding a power-maul, but .. isn't ap 4 some kind of .. nonsense against the possibility of a squad of Incubi ?
Well, any sort of constructive advice/critisism/whatever is greatly appreciated.

My reagards to you,
f_Flame

Well, thank you for your response !

But unfortunately I've got to say, that I do not own any vehicles by now. Except 2 Rhinos/Immolators. (So much to paint and so few time to spend. >_<' )
Although I'd like to play Celestine, me and my friend agreed on taking no special characters.

Coming to the retinue ... How about HB's? Originally I wanted it to be mobile, thus used SB's an had some decent success.
But those heavies provide a good a chance of gunning down a venom or maybe even a ravager.
As for the troop choices, you took the small Meltagun, because if a squad is up close, those 24 inches of the MM are witlessly wasted? (in addition to the fact, that it's a heavy weapon)
Concerning the seraphim, why drop them? To me, they did pretty well against a Leman Russ, when equipped with a pair of fusion pistols.

You do really need an Exorcist if you can do destroy his vehicles as quick as possible then you can take out his troops at your own pace.

I'd second DP's list its got just about enough of everything.

I wouldn't run Seraphim at this points value without Celestine, I run them at 900 points but wouldn't take them below that.

I would find a way to get Celestine into your list. She works wonders attatched to a serephim squad. Since effects stack she gets hit and run on her initiative. Flame/shoot, assault. Stay in combat till next turn, hit and run during your opponents end of assault phase(rules say at the end of any assault phase) to get out and not be shot. Your turn move back in close flame/shoot again.
