Stephen Buonocore from Stronghold Games joins us once again in the third chair. We chat about how Article 27 went from concept to published game, and why this game is worth a look.
Later we dive into a detailed review of the hot board game Mage Wars. What makes this different from other dueling spell slinger games?
All that and our other not-too-horrible segments including:
- Total Fan Girl
- Do You Ever Notice
- When you wish upon a game
- & More

hmmm....Occidental Migration...
Fantasy Flight Games building their own Wierd West setting? West Wind Productions expanding their Empire of the Dead setting into the Weird West? Battlefoam creating their own game setting featuring the Weird West?
time will tell... although I vaguely remember Romeo talking about creating his own game at some point, but I don't remember any details.
I guess based on Occidental Migration I'm leaning more towards something Battlefoam related since they're located out west and I think they host the Wild West Shoot out tournament/convention and migration could relate to moving your models around.

Something to do with the Gold Rush I imagine.
@Craig- congratulations on the pay cheque for the comic work!
@Russ- While watching Rise of the Guardians did you get the feeling that one or more of them might turn up as a 2013 Warcaster or Warlock? Santa in particular was achingly Khador right down to the accent.

Alright, just made it through Achievements...and I think I was called out on my Joe Abercrombie comments by Craig! I went back and looked at my comment from Ep. 114...and there may have been a little more snark than intended...my apologies. I don't necessarily think the overall story is nihilistic...but I don't consider myself an "expert" on nihilism by any means, and I can see how some people may think it trends in that direction. My only point was that I think it starts out fairly dark in book 1...and gets even darker by book 3. There is a certain repeating theme across all the books, including the stand alone novels, about characters that want to become better people, but inevitably get dragged back into their grim lives of death and destruction. In any case, I think we can all agree they're great books - I read them in hardback...but your comments about the audio book and the narrator tempt me to try that route!
However, Russ...I'm probably too late...but if you started Red Country after reading the original trilogy, I'm afraid to say you've skipped ahead to the last book. "Proper" order should be First Law Trilogy -> Best Served Cold -> Heroes -> Red Country. Now, as you noted there's nothing hugely spoilery if you read those last 3 out of order, but if you're already through "Red Country", you will probably know about some characters that survived (and some that did not) in "Best Served Cold" and "Heroes". I'm only about 3/4 through Red Country myself...getting to that point where I'm eager to see the resolution...but sad to know I'll be done soon. Of course, I have the new Dresden waiting on my night stand...

I'm about 1/3 of the way through the podcast, and it's top-knotch as always.
Russ, I was curious as to what faction you're playing in Infinity. Having just gotten into the game myself, I'm always curious as to what other players think about it.
I would love it if you guys did a show on it in the future.
I'm going to play as the Yu Jing, but all the miniatures are just gorgeous. If I were to get a second faction, it would probably be Aleph.

I didn't notice Craig's name on the comic book cover till now, but I think I remember this thread from a month ago is where I got the idea of Battlefoam getting into the minis arena.
Although I just noticed that post was edited today, so maybe they just added the comic book cover today. Not sure.
