First off here's the questions in order.
How long do you typically play in two weeks. 1-3
How much have you spent in store or on games just for the promos. 4-6
How long have you got overall in hours 7-10
What's your favourite class please write in.
And what's your best/most expensive item can list more than one
My favourite set up is with my soldier with Rocket jumper mantreads and market gardener, I play on a lower gravity server so this set up allows me to get more kills gtghan deaths by some way

The sniper is the best rank as when people come out the doorway you headshot them and also he is the other side of the map so he gets killed less often and also he is australian so it makes him EPIC.
his two best quotes are :thanks for standing still w****r and for the queen!
best class weapon? has to be a tie between jarate and the bushtawacka (is that how you spell it?)

Dunno about the other questions, but I have over a thousand hours put in to TF2. Snipers are pussies, so easy to kill with so many classes.

Yeah, Spies would disagree with you there. Oh, and Scouts. And Ubercharged heavies. The classes are balanced in such a way that there is no "best" class. Skill also matters, of course. Anyway... My favorite class would either be the Pyro or the Heavy, although the Spy is pretty fun as well. Rarest Items are : Ghastly Gribis Skull Hat Headless Horseman Hat Eternal Reward

The amount of tiem I play in a given 2 week period varies greatly. I will go months without loading up the game and other times I will put in 20 hours a week. According to Steam I have played 738 hours.
I'm not bothered by items so I don't buy games for hats nor have I spent any money in the item shop (I bought the game itself though as part of the Orange box). For the same reason, while I am sure that I do have expensive/rare items I have no idea what they may be.
My favourite class/loadout really depends on the situation/team make up. I default to black box soldier but I will happily play anyting that isn't a sniper (I'm ok with them but don't like their game play) or a spy (I am hopeless).
I spend most of my TF2 time on instant respawn 2Fort servers. Not exactly the 'purest' TF2 game play but it is a really good way to improve your performance and its fun.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Dunno, instaspawn 2fort is less about skill improvement and more about "let's memorize the map and the best camping spots" .

Try it for a week and then go back to playing standard maps.
It has a far higher proportion of combat that standard and there are usually a lot more targets at any one time so your hard skills will see more use. Soft skills don't get as much use but thats not to say that they are neglected and it will make you at a decent spy hunter.
Camping is pretty rare to be honest, the map doesn't really allow it, but you do get a few grill campers though they tend to be quite feeble. The biggest problem is if there is a pack of decent snipers on the balcony it can become very vexing attempting to leave your base.

Ahem: What, in the name of Valve's Blubbery Overlord, makes you think I haven't played at least a week's worth of 2fort instaspawn? I've probably played more of it than you have....

I have around 500 hours playtime.
I'm a bit of a fat cat trader after spending £10 I've traded up into having this:
Genuine Ballonicorn painted White
Team Spirit painted Bills hat
Team captain
29 Strange weapons ranging from a rec to 5 keys plus in value
And a hat for every class.
Got the two new duck promos which I love
I play soldier on a modified orange x3 map, I run the Rocket jumper strange mantreads and strange market gardener. Not doing to badly with the set up, the gardener has 1100 kills on it making it my highest kill count weapon.
I duel a lot and have 151 duel wins.
Pyro is my lowest point scoring class with 20 points the rest are in the 35-50 mark with two classes at 100 the Engi and the Medic, I played a mean combat medic at got around 90 kills before a sniper got me

It is, if you want to do well. Going to the other spawn is suicide and the snipers sit up top and snipe anyone not going through the waterpipe.
Three good snipers a engi and a Heavy and medic is stalemate for the otherside as all the holes are plugged meaning only spies can pass.
2fort is a good map but I'll stick withmy modded orange x3 server.
What's everyones steam name?

Trust me,its not. You do get some instances where one team is markely inferior to the other and they get boxed in to their fort, usually the top floor, but there simply are no really effective camping spots (unless you are a demo and sticky camp the sewers but thats quite risky). I have probably sunk 300+ hours on that map and camping is a lot more common on payload maps.

Until a good demo blows up the heavy/medic combo and/or the SG or a soldier rocket jumps onto the balacony and clears out the snipers. You simply can't shut down all the entrances to the intel.

The sniper shoots your soldier, so he's not got a chance.
The demo would have to be lucky he'd need all 8 bombs at max range to kill the heavy outright. Secondly you could pop your uber then, lastly the heavy could shoot the stickybombs.
I'm a medic when I'm not market gardening, I can get onelife games with a good pocket, I also am beastly with popping an uber and ubersaw chaining for a nigh on endless uber.
Trust me using that same method I got 19 wins in a row with no loss on the intel.

Lots of ifs there. 2 rocket jumps (water-bridge-balcony) the soldier will be safely face to face with those snipers and Demos thrive on sticky traps.

Answer this, is that soldier exposed whilst trying to get there?
Are in air movements predictable and an easy headshot?
A better bet would be to go from your sewer go to the side and wall jump over, that can allow a break through assuming they kill the sentry.
It mostly turns into a spam fest and demomen camping with sticky traps.

Basically no and the rocket jump is far too close to the sniper for him to aim. If the snipers are amazing then the soldier will need to use the sewer route but once he is in the water he is safe from sniper fire. Automatically Appended Next Post:
Thats really not true.

Then I and my fellow players on my server are "amazing" snipers.
It's certainly true on the servers I've been on. But YMMV.
