Just bought the game today. It is amazingly interesting.

If you don't know, the whole purpose is to build rockets/space planes and explore the solar system. The game is surprisingly in depth. My first few launches when fairly well. 1st launch made it to orbit and back, single pilot survived. Second launch put a single pilot into a stable orbit around Kerbal for 3 spins before returning him alive. Unfortunately, the next 7-8 launches (focusing on putting a satellite into orbit from an unmanned rocket) failed quite miserably. One design even fell apart and exploded on the launch platform.

This video pretty much shows what the game is all about.
Spoiler:

The games is currently in Open Alpha?

A Demo is available with limited ship pieces and only Kerbal and the Mun available.
If you buy the game, you get many more parts, upwards of 9 planets and a number of moons beyond what is found in the demo.

As a quick question to anyone already playing, I can't figure out how to make an unmanned rocket. I include a command module along with batteries and solar panels but it still won't take control of the SAS (leading to many crashes). Could I get any help on this?
