Hi everyone,

I am currently looking for a pair of good water effect mats, for my games of dystopian wars.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some? As i am currenty only finding tiny ones (4x4 - whereas i need 6x4) or everything else is the standard grass/snow.

Thanks

Karl

We use the Dreadfleet mat, because it is the best looking sea mat out there, but it also is not full 6x4.

Hotz Mats offers felt mats in three versions (beware they are also 2" short of 6x4):

The two below are one colour felt, but cheaper (shown with hexes):

Those sheets come in quite large quantities. I recon you could fill 2'x3' table with just couple of rolls of that sheet.

One issue you might have is that platic is fairly stiff and might curle up but if you combine it with kroot's suggestion you could end up with very cool looking battlemat.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

A quick google search turned up Terrainmat.com and MondayKnight.com

I have always made things like this myself. I start with a sheet, or large piece of cloth and spray on some paint.

This is for the old WizKids game, Pirates of the Spanish Main, but it may be of some use to you.
