Is the skyray better for attack achilles heel style tau forces? I see them being good for the 2 markerlights and having the 6 shots if you have enough markerlights in a single turn. That could be enough to generate a weakpoint or to increase the size of an already existing gap. You could really only do it in lower point games were you might not use all those heavy support shots.

What do I know though? Probably wrong. I just want everybody's opinion on this idea.

Putting upto 6 seeker missiles into a single target in 1 turn is a pretty good way to generate a weak point, I agree.

But, for 60 points you can add 6 seeker missiles to your other vehicles or for the price of a well equipped skyray you can throw on a hammerhead, two broadsides or a couple of sniper drone teams (give or take a few points). Are any of these able to create the weak point you want?

Ok, so good, but sucks versus better options?

The problem is the markerlight use, and that they only get 6 missiles. You are using up markerlight hits to shoot krak missiles around the board. Generally those markerlight hits are much better used on buffing BS or removing cover. Also, once all the missiles are gone, you basically just have a giant AV13 front piece of moving cover.

No. There is no possible army that makes a Sky Ray anything other than garbage.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
