I don't have cash to purchase an official Triarch Stalker, but I DO have a Ghost Ark I'm never going to assemble... but I'd not sure if the conversions I've seen are close to the right size. Does anybody have any side-by-side pics for comparison?

Build the Ghost/Doomsday ark. It's more useful. If not, Ebay it and use the money to buy a Triarch stalker.

I've already assembled one Ghost Ark... and I don't think I'll ever assemble another. Too big of a PITA. I don't trust Feebay/PayPal, and refuse to use them, and I like the Idea of a kitbash. But thanks for the advice.

I don't have a side-by-side picture, but I've kitbashed a Stalker (here- http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-47327-25080_Triarch%20Stalker.html) and have built the official model as well. I can tell you the kitbash, the way I built it, is considerably larger.
The Ark cockpit is much bigger than the Stalker's for starters. Then there's the Ark ribs, which make for much larger/taller legs. Overall, my kitbash probably takes up 30% more area on the table, and is probably 2-3" taller than the official kit. That's my best guess. I'd take a side-by-side for you, but I eBayed my kitbash months ago.
