Hey guys,

My wife has got me lots of WoC stuff for Christmas and one item was going to be the Hell Cannon. However she just had an email from the LFG saying that they are not able to order this in from GW any more and is now a direct order item. Does this mean GW might be changing the model for the Rumoured Feb wave?

Doubtful. GW has turned a lot of slow moving items into Direct only and the FLGS dont get much of a discount on them so it is not worth getting them to resell.

Very doubtful, given they already re-released the mode in finecast.

Doesn't sound likely, but it would be awesome.

Didnt the Tyranid Hive Tyrant go from Metal to Finecast and then a new plastic kit over a period of about 6 weeks?

My local store can normally get in any mail order only item (used them to get me a load of Vostroyans the other month), but just not this one for some reason,

More like 8 months. It was in the first finecast wave, which was July or August, IIRC. It was rereleased in plastic the following February or March, I can't remember which. It was a fast turnaround from finecast to plastic, but not that fast.

While WoC are rumoured to be getting a book early next year, it's not rumoured to be before Daemons, putting it around April. So it's a bit early to start pulling kits getting replaced with plastics. WoC also very recently had a new wave with the Warshrine, Hellstriders and Skull Crushers, so it's not likely they'll be getting another new model. It would have been released with them.

Just sounds like a screw up at the LGS she ordered it at.

All rare Finecast models go quickly to direct only. This kit seems better in Finecast than metal. And it is a fantastic model.

That said I don't know what the rumoured third wave with or without armybook rumoured for next year might bring.
